About

Overview and Core Mission

Autism Learning Partners (ALP) is a nationwide leader in evidence-based, family-oriented autism therapies. The company was founded in 1988 by Dr. Jeffrey Parker, a licensed clinical psychologist, under the original name Pacific Child & Family Associates. For over 30 years, ALP has specialized in the treatment of autism and other developmental disabilities, providing customized care plans for individuals and their families. Its clinical model blends a naturalistic teaching approach with a strong emphasis on family collaboration, operating on the belief that parents who are actively involved in their child's therapy often see more positive outcomes for their children.

Clinical Approach and Expansion

The company's cornerstone service is Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy, available in early intervention, center-based, and home-based formats. In select markets, particularly in California, ALP expands its multidisciplinary offerings to include speech, occupational, and physical therapies, as well as on-site diagnostic services and parent training. Owned by private equity firm FFL Partners, ALP now employs a workforce of approximately 3,000 people, including over 300 Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs). The company serves families across 19 states, with clinical teams collaborating closely with doctors, therapists, schools, and other specialists to provide complete and effective care.
